Guide: Managing Your Plan & Billing
You can manage your subscription, view invoices, and change your payment details at any time from your dashboard.
How to Change Your Plan
- Navigate to the Billing page from the main sidebar in your dashboard.
- You will see a list of all available plans and your current subscription.
- Click Change Plan on the plan you wish to move to, or Cancel Subscription if you wish to cancel your subscription and return back to Free Plan.
- You will be redirected to our secure payment processor, Stripe, to confirm the change for any upgrades.
How Plan Changes Are Handled
- Upgrading: If you upgrade to a higher-tier plan, your new, higher plan limits are applied immediately. If you have any resources (Sources or Destinations) that were previously deactivated due to a downgrade, HookMux will automatically re-activate your oldest inactive resources up to the new plan's limit.
- Downgrading & Cancellations: If you downgrade to a plan with lower limits (including the "Free" plan), your new limits will take effect. If you have more resources than the new plan allows, HookMux will automatically deactivate the newest ones.
Plan Limit Enforcement: An Example
We enforce plan limits by always keeping your oldest resources active.
Example:
- You are on the Dev Plan (which allows 10 Sources). You create 10 Sources over several weeks.
- You decide to downgrade to the Free Plan (which allows 2 Sources).
- HookMux will automatically deactivate your 8 newest Sources.
- Your 2 oldest Sources (the first ones you created) will remain active and continue to function.
If you upgrade back to the Dev Plan later, your 8 inactive Sources will be automatically re-activated.
